Abstract

Plastic deformation of crystal structure is closely related to the development of inner lattice defect structure. Based on the theory of elastic body field, during the elementary process of plastic deformation, plastic deformation can be considered as the variation of strain energy related to change of internal structure, the configurational force as driving power can spring it up.

In this research, based on the framework of an infinitesimal deformation theory, position of lattice defects in linear elastic solid, intensity (Burgers vector, Frank vector), configurational force with change of direction will be discussed in detail. Specially, the infinite limit of dislocation array and disclination dipole are equivalent, and the configurational force can be introduced using structure with disclination dipole. Although the dislocation array and disclination dipole can be considered as misorientation grain boundary, here they are the basic element of kink deformation as the boundary of kink deformation.
