In this work, an adaptive mesh refinement algorithm based on continuous adjoint approach is developed. Both of the primal and adjoint equations are approximated by discontinuous Galerkin method. The proposed adaptive algorithm is applied to two dimensional compressible Euler euations. Some numerical tests are made to demonstrate the superiority of our adaptive algorithm.
